In 2011, the Foundation held its inaugural fundraising event – My Beautiful Ball was hosted by Simon Cowell and Katie Piper, supported by Tess Daly and with Rebecca Ferguson providing some wonderful entertainment. London’s Savoy Hotel was the glitzy venue for a fundraiser that raised over £200,000 for the Foundation and provided a welcome and important association with the charity to many corporate organisations.
The Foundation is grateful for donations of all sizes from all sized companies! We will endeavour to generate positive publicity should donors wish their generosity to be acknowledged publicly. Corporate donors in 2011 included:
Staff fundraising – and Matched Giving
Dress down days are a firm favourite but why not dedicate one day a year to supporting charities. And those keen fundraisers amongst your dedicated staff, why not incentivise them further by matching monies raised for charity.
During 2012 staff from M&S Money, based in Chester, will be taking part in two cycling challenges to raise much needed funds for the Foundation. M&S Money has set themselves a target of raising £10,000. And M&S Money will also be providing matched donations.
