Fundraise

Without people like you, people like Lin wouldn’t necessarily have the confidence to do the things she does now. After Lin’s hair treatment, she’s a regular swimmer. Not only has she already joined a club, she’s entered competitions and won gold and silver medals.

We want to provide as much support to people with burns and scars as we can – but we can only do this with your help.  Fundraise for The Foundation today and you’ll be changing someone’s life forever.

If you plan to fundraise, why not use online websites to help raise your money – choose from Virgin Money Giving, My Donate, Just Giving and Every Click.

Organise Your Own Event

Organising your own event can be fun and rewarding. It’s a very successful way to fundraise too. Don’t know where to start, or need some ideas? Have a look at the How 2 Fundraise website
or our A-Z of Fundraising!

Rebecca Green and her Froctastic team organised a fashion show raising over £2,000.

Fundraising Groups

If you want to support the Foundation but find the thought daunting, why not join one of our many fundraising groups that are being created via the online Forum? Or why not set one up yourself?

Start with a collection at your local supermarket – like Lisa Cooke and her friends – and see where you go from there!

Challenges

If you’re an adrenaline junkie or extreme sport enthusiast, you’ll be glad to know we’ve joined forces with Skyline, who organise skydives, parachute jumps and other challenges including overseas expeditions and employee fundraising events. Skyline also has its own fundraising facility – doitforcharity.com – so you can create a fundraising page to help you.

If you’ve got a group together, you can also organise your own challenge. Marcus Hardiman and 11 of his friends decided on a fantastic cycle challenge along the Canal du Midi, France. What an adventure! And while enjoying the French countryside, the team raised a phenomenal £8,000 for the Katie Piper Foundation.

“I had the most wonderful pampered day at Lucinda’s Clinic last Wednesday and I now have hair!!!! I wake in the morning with hair, if I wear a hat I can take it off without my hair coming off with it, I can brush it and touch it. It feels so normal, it’s unbelievable. Having my hair is obviously a big factor but not the only one. I really cannot ever thank the Foundation enough, no more worries about being caught without anything on my head – it’s always there and I love it!”

Running Events

The Katie Piper Foundation has been lucky enough to benefit from the fantastic support of many runners taking part in different running events. If there’s a running event you’re interested in, why not get a place and we’ll help encourage your fundraising, provide you with training guides and a Katie Piper Foundation running vest or t-shirt for the event.

Jenny Stanton ran the asics British 10k for the Foundation raising over £300

Rachel Quinn with her medal from the Bupa Great Birmingham Run raised over £150 for the Foundation

How We Can Help

We’re ready to help you help us in any way we can. We have Katie Piper Foundation tins and buckets to help with fundraising events and we will provide you with a Katie Piper Foundation t-shirt to wear during your event.

We have A3 and A4 poster artwork available for you to print out to use at your event. If this is something you’d like, please contact the Foundation.

You can also download our Foundation logo.

We recognise how important Katie is to our fundraising success, and she was honoured to attend several events and activities last year. Unfortunately she is not able to accept the many hundreds of kind invitations, although she does her best to attend as many as she can.

Katie is of course thrilled to see our fundraising activity increasing so strongly. This has allowed us the opportunity to grow our support network, including the KPF Friends, Ambassadors, and other burns survivors. If you would like a Katie Piper Foundation Friend or Ambassador to attend your event, please contact us.
