Because Recovery Is About More Than Survival

Founded by Katie Piper OBE after surviving a life-changing acid attack, the Katie Piper Foundation ensures that everyone with burns or traumatic scarring can access personalised, expert-led rehabilitation.

From physiotherapy and scar care to psychological therapy and peer support, our team provides specialist, evidence-based care that’s tailored to each survivor’s journey.

We support the whole person holistically - body, mind and self - helping individuals regain independence, rebuild identity, and move forward with hope. Because life may be different, but it doesn’t mean it’s over.

“The Katie Piper Foundation changed my life- from psychological support to residential rehab, which I called ‘The Retreat’ because that’s exactly what it felt like. A sanctuary focused entirely on me.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch. The Katie Piper Foundation that will hold you through the journey. You’ll feel re-energised and powerful. I promise it will change your life.

Jamie's Story

Jamie was just 14 when an accident involving a burning motorbike changed his life forever. He sustained devastating burns to 60% of his body — and years later, he reached out to The Katie Piper Foundation for the help he still needed.

I reached a point in the way I look where I thought there was no other treatments that could help. Katie Piper Foundation showed me that I needed to start taking down my walls and see myself in a different way.

People on the Thames Bridges trek

Looking for a challenge for 2026?

Join the Katie Piper Foundation Team and take part in the Thames Bridges Trek on 12th September 2026, walking 25 km across the Capital with unrivalled views of the skyline & landmarks.

From Putney Bridge, walk over 16 historic bridges, each with a fascinating story – with a mid-point rest stop at The Oval Cricket Ground for snacks & drinks. 25 km later, it’s a party style finish line celebration in Southwark Park.

Also, we’re putting together a survivor walking group for anyone who would like to take part and we’d love you to be involved. Last year’s trek was a fantastic day, full of encouragement, achievement, and plenty of laughs along the way. It’s a brilliant way to get moving, build confidence, and enjoy being part of something together. There are two route options — 10km or 25km — so you can choose whatever feels right for you.If you are interested in joining our survivor walking group, get in touch with Hollie Corless for more information: [email protected].
