Hear from other survivors

We know that starting a rehabilitation programme can feel daunting – the unknown can make it hard to take the first step. That’s why we’ve asked Kirst, one of our survivors to share her experience. Hear directly from someone who’s been through it, and why they encourage others to take that step.

How We Support You

From the moment you or someone supporting you makes a referral, we guide you through every step of your recovery:

  • Personalised Assessment: Our lead physiotherapist and psychotherapist meet with you online or in person to understand your physical needs, emotional wellbeing, and personal goals.

  • Bespoke Rehabilitation Plan: Based on your assessment, we design a programme that may include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, psychological support, wellbeing sessions, and therapeutic activities—all tailored to you.

  • Peer and Group Support: Online group sessions offer a safe space to connect with others, share experiences, and build coping skills in areas such as pain management, sleep, nutrition, and scar care.

  • Progress Monitoring: Your recovery is regularly reviewed so your programme evolves with you, helping you build strength, confidence, and independence.

  • Ongoing Support: We stay in contact with you and, where appropriate, your healthcare team to ensure your rehabilitation continues to meet your needs.
